The journey.
At the age of nineteen, my young heart was restless. I had graduated as a massage therapist and cosmetologist from the aveda institute and yet, i had also lost my mother to cancer within the same year. my spiritual battle of trying to hold onto the past, while processing my goals for the future led me to set foot on a journey.
The Inspiration.
Having grown up in a Christian household, my walk of faith had been present through my mother’s illness, but after she passed, I was filled with chaos, questions and doubt. My faith wavered and I longed for truth. Walking through our natural world, I saught comfort in Creation. I followed the patterns of nature, the phases of the moon and the changes of the seasons. I became interested in the practice of herbalism and aromatherapy, learning to craft my own home and healthcare products. my travels took me west to the peaks of the mountains, south to the shores of the ocean and north to the woods of the forest.
Eventually, I found my way to my mother’s Bible. Through my study of the Word, I became inspired. Jesus also walked along beaches and mountainsides; He prayed in gardens and wept in the aftermath of death. Through my work as a massage therapist, I understood the human need for a healing touch and CONNECTION. through my journey, I started to understand the human need for the healing power of Jesus.
I have since dedicated my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Through the blessing of His hand Bohemian Remedy was born.
