Apple & Gouda Grilled Cheese 

Ingredients:

  • Two Slices of Sourdough Bread

  • Butter (for spreading on bread)

  • Two Slices of Gouda Cheese

  • Apple (preferably a crisp and crunchy variety); sliced

Instructions:

  • Prep and warm Panini Press or Griddle

  • Spread butter on outside of each slice of sourdough bread

  • “Sandwich” apples and gouda cheese together and place on bottom piece of sourdough bread (works well to layer a slice of cheese, apples, a slice of cheese)

  • Place top slice of bread and put sandwich on griddle or panini press

  • Cook for 1-2 minutes on either side. Enjoy!

Options for use: enjoy immediately; sandwich will not remain crispy if stored in the refrigerator or freezer.

This is one of my favorites! It tastes like Autumn in a sandwich, perfect for a cozy lunch.
