I have been reminiscing lately. Thinking about the years that have gone by. There is something so whimsical about how in one moment you can feel as if no time has passed at all, and how at that same exact moment, you feel completely different because so much time has passed. I look beyond to notice sprawled branches, thick brush, and rooted stumps closing in on the once clear path. My heart breaks just a little as I turn away, saddened that the trail hadn’t been properly cared for.
